Anthropologie Edit: Rustling Up Some Ruffles

Ruffles are here in a big way this season, inspiring today’s spotlight on Anthropologie, where they’ve got ruffled offerings in spades. Here are Petiterie’s picks in petite sizing:

Quintessential Anthropologie: a Bohemian chic off-the-shoulder (I’d wear it on-the-shoulder, too – why not?) dress. The small scale of the floral pattern is wonderful for petite proportions, and there’s subtle vertical striping, which adds an elongating effect.

I just love the silky assymmetrical ruffled layers here. This maxi skirt is pretty and feminine enough in a static picture, but I think with movement is where it would shine its brightest.

A shimmery, but otherwise simple, roomy casual tank top, with adjustable straps for a just right fit.

The homespun vintage-y feel of the embroidery stitching on this fluttery sleeved blouse is so great. I appreciate that the embroidery detail is carried over to the back, too.

If this were not a single color, there’d be too much going on, what with all the lace patterns. In this case, it’s super-interesting in a most lovely way. I see this as a fabulous (and not crazy expensive) wedding guest dress.

These barely qualify as ruffles, which is exactly what’s so great about them.

Accompany this poppy number with sandals and some simple jewelry, and call it a day. Its contoured but not constricted shape makes it ideal for a summer dress.
