26 Oct Going on a Lounge About
Tomorrow’s looking like it will be a day for the ducks, and a chilly one at that, so the plan around here is to park it. Therein lies my inspiration for today’s post on loungewear for the petite of frame…
My favorite leggings are notoriously out of stock. This time I checked, though…lo and behold! They’re in! These high-waisted crops in regular sizing hit at full-length on just under 5′ me. The thickness, elasticity, and feel of the fabric, and the size and fit – all my cup of tea.
Joggers in petite length are still not as easy to locate as I’d like, but they are out there, and some are quite lovely, like these softer than soft ones from Gap.
Wide legs in stretchy modal are always welcome in my world.
My new far and away favorite T for lounging. It’s officially a junior size, but I find it fitting like a petite would. It’s as comfy as it is fun. Word of warning: If you wear it out of your home, you will be approached by many who will want one, too, and want to know where you found it.
A super soft and swingy cropped T in regular sizing. It falls at normal t-shirt length on me. I agree with the advice to order one size up.
A nap-ready fleece pullover with great lounge-y lines.
This wonderfully slouchy thermal top from Aritzia comes in regular sizing but it’s just marvy on petite proportions, thanks in large part to its shirttail hem. I love the one I have in a deep charcoal, and I’m thinking of this olive color as a new addition.
I’ve had my cashmere zip-front hoodie (mine’s a lighter grey) for forever, but I actually prefer the styling on this one, and the charcoal color, too.
