Medallion Prints

You’ll most often find me in solids rather than prints, but I do like to pop in a pattern every now and again. I’m finding myself drawn to medallion prints lately, tricky sort though they are. Done well, they can look sophisticated with a slight exotic flair, but they can also get way too busy or overly large in scale for a petite frame. Beware a frumpy medallion print, too. For today’s post, I’ve assembled a crop of medallion prints that I think are truly beautiful, and petite-friendly, of course.

A flowy tank with a delicate ruffle at the neckline that looks more expensive than it is.

A maxi skirt with a great A-line shape and a petite-friendly small-scale print.

Medallions lite“– just a little touch at the bottom.

The distressing on the medallion print is super cool on this popover. I’d pair it with some equally distressed light – or white – jeans.

This might otherwise be too unruly of a print for my liking, but the excellent blend of colors tame it down just enough.

I love the graphic and Ikat-ish feel of the pattern on this medallion print tunic length top, and the cinch at the back for some shape.

A slim headed-out-for-fun summer blazer that will transform a crisp white tank, pair of jeans, and heels.
