21 Jan Mid-Winter Color Perk Up
This time of year can get to seem a bit on the lull-ish side sometimes. The rush, excitement, and sparkle of the holiday hoopla is over, and the promise of a fresh spring is still a long way off. On days like these, I like to counter the bleak feel of mid-winter with some dull-drudgery-be-gone color.
A full-throttle classic Anthropologie look. It almost feels too late to go for velvet, but this Boho wrap top is too many kinds of fabulous to pass over.
The colors on this sweater aren’t an exact match, but they’re close enough to a Pendleton blanket to make me feel all snuggly-cozy just looking at it.
Chartreuse is about as vivid and happy as it gets.
I’d style this stunning geometric print pencil skirt just as shown, with a solid sweater on top.
I love the crossover hem on this sweater.
For now, I’d pair this blouse with a thin long-sleeved layer underneath, and by itself as a transitional piece when the weather gets warmer.
A puffer vest in a snappy green, with petite-friendly narrow-scale and not overly poofy quilt channels.
The visually lengthening vertical stripes make the accompanying big and bold geometric patterns on this blouse workable and wonderful on a petite frame.
