Moto Jackets

With Labor Day Weekend behind us and fall around the corner, it’s only a matter of time before the chill’s in the air, and for this reason, I’ve got jackets on my mind. Moto jackets, to be precise. I love them for their combination of classic style and edgy urban vibe. My longtime go-to is a trusty and quintessentially classic black leather version, and so now I’m thinking about something with a fresh twist to it for myself that I can alternate with Old Faithful and shake things up a bit.

I may just go for this fabulous and funky two-fer option, reversing from a faux silver suede to a fluffy fleece with a standout snake skin pattern, and call it a day.

I do really think the rich berry wine color and of-the-moment puff sleeves lend a perfect feminine flair that makes this one so appealing.

This knit herringbone pattern version lays so beautifully – it’s actually quite elegant.

I find this modern neutral dusty rose color so calming, especially on the soft faux suede, and so very pretty.

A thick, soft marled knit version, with great skimming lines and coziness at the same time.

Betcha didn’t think I’d include a black one. I wasn’t planning to, but this little wonder is different. This hybrid-style jacket in wrinkle-resistant black knit can serve in a whole range of ways, from a cool office-appropriate jacket to light outerwear. It’s my idea of perfect travel piece – and I’d bring it to wear it on the plane as an alternative to a wrap for a layer for warmth.
