Ann Taylor 60% Off Dresses and Skirts: Part II

Yesterday’s Part I post about this spectacular sale was devoted to dresses. Today’s Part II edition features my favorite skirts.

Posts on skirts have been a low frequency occurrence for me. It’s because I’ve pretty much always veered heavily toward the one-and-done ease of a dress when in the mood for a skirted look. Lately, though, for reasons that remain mysterious to me, the little skirt section in my closet has been calling to me and seeing more action. I have to say I’ve been really enjoying re-acquainting myself with some of the pieces I already have. I’m wearing one now as I write, and I wore another yesterday. They’ll be calling me Skirt Lady soon.

Today is the last day of this sale. As I posted yesterday, AT has nailed its collection this season big time in my book — from design to fabric to colors — so much is excellent. And happily, so much is available in petite sizing. Here are the skirts on sale now that are contenders for newest addition to my wardrobe with a few great staple pieces thrown in for good measure…

I love this fabulous free-styling skirt for a casual look. I see it with a loose fitting tank in either black or white, and a pair of flat sandals.

This pretty-in-pink skirt is so flowy and feminine. The smaller scale pleating is perfect for petite proportions.

The scalloped hem on this skirt is so pretty, and the lace pattern is smallish in scale, pared down and delicate without being not overly frilly.

The way this sunny yellow wrap skirt comes together in the front makes me think of two flower petals. I’m in love.

A clean-lined work staple of a navy pencil skirt, with an of-the-moment (and leg-lengthening) high waist.

Another solid work basic of the must-have kind if you haven’t got one already: a well-done black ponte pencil skirt.
