This jacket – in a just-right-for-Spring light grey – is beautifully nipped to create definition at the waist, and has a fun polka dot lining to show when you turn up the sleeves when you’re going casual with it.
The pretty, delicate back-to-nature florals on this sleeveless top remind me of some of the springtime wildflowers that pop up everywhere in Houston this time of year.
The cut of this office-worthy lightweight wool dress is fantastic, a just-right v-neck and a higher waistline to lengthen the look of your legs.
I love this flowy and feminine floral wrap dress as a party guest look, for attending weddings, graduations, and the like.
I REALLY like these high rise crop flares, a new silhouette that’s gathering momentum, that’s (I think obviously) tricky for a petite frame. At around 24″ they are just at my ankles, which is a good thing. I wouldn’t advise going too much more cropped on a petite frame with this look.
The drape on this soft modal top is almost cowl-like, just a lovely warm weather version.
Color blocking can be another sticky widget for petite proportions, because it can create a visually chopped up effect that disrupts lengthening lines. This camisole is a primo example of a color blocking detail that works, adding definition and interest, in an ideal proportion, to an already petite-friendly v-neck line.
A sale like this is when I pull the trigger on my favorite style of pants, the BR Sloan skinny ankle, if a new pair is under consideration. I cropped my black pair over last summer by a few inches to get them ankle length on me, and I’ll get another to leave alone, at full leg length for me. My strategy does backfire sometimes, when my size sells out before I have the chance to get them, but I usually come out ahead, and if not, there’s always another good sale at some point. P.S.: Score! In stock this time for me.
