Untucked: Peplum Style

A peplum at the bottom of a top is so softly feminine, and so helpful, too. Some days are better left untucked. Like Thanksgiving, for example. I’ve noticed some highly pretty peplum style tops around lately for petite proportions. Here are my favorites among them…

I’m a big fan of the yellow family, so I’m happy to see all the yellows and golds and honeys and mustards popping up, like on this satiny version.

If variety is the spice of life, then this is one spicy peplum top. It’s got a drawstring to put you in control of how much definition you wish at your waist.

I love the gathered shoulder on this option.

Here’s a fantastic switch out for a white button-down.

I think the directional change of the stripes on this top at the peplum is pretty cool.

The teensiest of ruffles at the collar and sleeves are so pretty on this one.

Here’s another drawstringed version, in Gap’s super-comfy “softspun” knit, but I’d leave this one loose and swingy, considering it’s at the hip.

What I really like about this flowy polka dotted top is the piping detail at the waistline.
